Practical guide for open book exam with Green World

NEBOSH has introduced Open Book Exam Format for NEBOSH International General Certificates. This format replaces current closed book exam format and enables Learners to complete their NEBOSH Assessment in their own time and from a suitable location.

Assessment is followed by a two-step process:

1.      An online Open-Book Assessment

2.      Three hours practical risk assessment to demonstrate knowledge.

You need to pass these both assessments to achieve your NEBOSH General Certificate.

 

Upcoming NEBOSH Open Book Exam dates:

NEBOSH have already announced the new 2020/2021 dates for NEBOSH Open Book Exams. These are

a)    Wednesday 02 December 2020

b)     Wednesday 3 February 2021

c)      Wednesday 7 April 2021

d)     Wednesday 9 June 2021

Learners wishing to book this Examination must register via their Learning Partner. 

 

The Open Book Exam Process:

1.      Registration: Once you have completed the course, Our Learning partners find out the available Exam dates and help you to register for the NEBOSH Open Book Exams. This is important that you have to provide us with the correct email address.

 

2.      Confirmation: Once successfully registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email advising you that you applied for Open Book Exam.

 

3.      Exploring the platform: 3days before the exam, you’ll be emailed with a link for online exam portal with unique username and password. At this time, you have to login and change your password and familiarize yourself with the platform ahead of your exam. You cannot view your exam paper until the date of your exam.

 

4.      Exam day: At 9 BST, the Open Book Exam question paper will be available on the NEBOSH Online platform and there will be 24 hours’ time to complete and submit your exam.

 

5.      Closing Interviews: Following the completion of your exam, Green World will be in touch to arrange a closing interview with you for your exam. It is simply that they have to confirm your identity and who completed the submitted paper. This should not take more than 15 minutes.

 

6.      Results: Results of your Exam should be emailed to you within 2 months of your exam date and your full qualification will not be complete until you pass your Practical application.
